Week notes 2026-21
My interest in writing these week notes is wanting, but I'm going to keep going for now.
Bummer: my wife and I both came down with a cold near the end of the week. All day Wednesday my throat felt scratchy, and I thought maybe it was because of the AC we turned on the night before. I didn't want to say anything lest speaking it would make it true, but when I mentioned it to my wife she said the same thing. Next day my voice and throat were rough and I ended up working from home Friday because of how congested and gross I felt.
As a result we were both knocked out the whole weekend.
On a brighter note, I got the pictures back from a roll of film I took with the Pentax Espio 738g; I'm going to pick out one or two and put up a post to showcase them.
Other bits and bobs:
- Saw a thrilling OT win for the Charge vs Montreal; unfortunately they couldn't pull off another win Wednesday
- Watched the Star Wars sequel trilogy this weekend; it's really interesting to see the different directing styles between JJ Abrams & Rian Johnson.
- Watched Star Trek Voyager "Tuvix" episode with Transporter Room 3 commentary. Dang...Janeway is as cold-blooded as advertised in this episode.
2026 projects and goals
Last week's goals
- Restart food logging ❌ I did restart but the midweek cold threw a wrench into things.
- Try for better sleep ✅ Hard for me to judge since I didn't take notes this week but I think I did well here. We didn't stay up too late most nights this week and the cold knocked us both out.
- Writing: piano mini block project ❌ Didn't get around to this. I have the pictures prepped so I can probably knock something out during a slow time at work.
- Hobbies: Set up a playlist to record to a cassette ❌ I have some pictures and screenshots of music to select, just another one of those "didn't get around to it" things.
This week's goals
- Restart food logging
- Track sleep and take notes
- hit a home run!
