Week notes 2026-11

I was saddened to learn Sunday that Michael B passed away. He was a great guy.

This week was a strange one. Wednesday there was supposed to be a really bad ice storm so I stayed home from work (as encouraged by the city and province). It turned out to be not much of an issue (but the drive home would probably have been slow I guess), making me look kind of stupid. Oh well, it could have been bad so I suppose it was for the best.

But then Thursday we got some troubling news about my wife's dad so we made a last-minute 8-hour drive to her parents that same night. We had good weather for the most part but only ran into some weather trouble near the end. It was good to get here safe, and good that we were able to be here.

As I type this we're in the middle of a snowstorm, the second in two days. We spent the Saturday morning cleaning up from Friday's snowstorm and now all of that work is being undone. It's not expected to stop until sometime Monday. Hopefully it doesn't last too long and we can get some cleanup done again later. Unfortunately I have to work so that'll be a bit tough.

2026 projects and goals

A pretty good week for projects and goals! I hit my 1st quarter goal of 4 photo blog posts, and I started some work on getting a podcast recorded, and I feel that I had a good handle on my health.
