Week notes 2026-30
Things at work are in a state of constant change, and my wife was away for an extended period than originally planned; by the time I got to Friday, it felt like two weeks passed in the span of 5 days.
- Just days after starting Ken Burns' Baseball documentary on YouTube, PBS put in a copyright claim and it got taken down. It's not even available to stream via the PBS channel on Amazon Prime—I couldn't pay for it if I wanted to! I placed a hold on the DVD set from the library.
- How I Write Blog Posts with Obsidian — Unattributed— love reading about other people's processes. Especially Obsidian.
- How I self-host my ebooks and audiobooks | Michael Harley— Another process post but this time about self-hosting eBooks. Clever solution!
- I had a bad day at work, so despite taking a break from Star Wars Outlaws last week, I went back to it. I needed a mix of stealth and blasting everything in sight.
- As a result I got to the final story mission that you can't exit until it's completed. This one is gonna take me a while.
- Thursday was a bad day. I got up at my usual time and started getting ready, but quickly realize I didn't have the mental fortitude to make it into the office. I opted to work from home, and it's a good thing I did! Thursday was a rough day.
- Got out on the bike Tuesday night after softball was cancelled. Still figuring out the bike mount for my Akaso camera.
- Finally started cleaning some extremely dusty LEGO. It's sitting out to dry on a towel.
- I also scanned my old introductory Magic The Gathering deck from 1995 and discovered it's "worth" ~$160 CAD1.
I didn't write anything this week—too busy. But I did do a quick edit of some screen recordings from Star Wars Outlaws.

What it's worth and what someone would buy it for are two different things.↩
