Week notes 2026-29
My wife went out of town Thursday so the back half of the week was devoted to Me Time stuff:
- video games
- podcasting
- building the LEGO DeLorean
- Reading
- Biking
- Baseball game
- Watched Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (it's the 40th anniversary this year!)
Probably other things I'm not thinking of. The weather has turned out a lot nicer this week, although we are dealing with smoke—wildfires from both Northern Quebec & Northwestern Ontario. Most exciting this week was finding an Akaso Brave 7 LE on Facebook Marketplace; I decided on a whim that an action camera would be cool for mounting to my Bike. The package I bought, which includes necessary mounts1, was originally close to $230 on Amazon. Glad I didn't go with a cheap knock-off model!
I played a lot of Star Wars Outlaws and made a lot of progress; I'm near the end of the game, so I'm putting a pause for a bit so that I don't get bored of it2. Some of the missions/quests I did this weekend had me hopping between planets, which was pretty cool and had me thinking that's what kind of stuff an outlaw would be doing in the Star Wars universe.
