Week notes 2026-26
Could I have had a more relaxing week & a half? Probably not. Wednesday June 17th (Week 25) my wife and I left for a wonderful vacation to Prince Edward Island, getting there via Maine on the way there and then New Brunswick on the way back (we arrived back Wednesday afternoon this week).
I fully intend to write about the vacation but for now I'll leave it at: perfection. It was a great trip and I tacked on an extra two days off (Thursday+Friday) from work to just relax and ease back into reality.
- Learning about Europe's current heat wave. Sounds exactly like what we experience every year in July and August here; it's not normal here, either.
- With help from Cygnoir, connected Hardcover with my Kobo, so updates for my ebooks are automatic. Source: GitHub - RedHatter/NickelHardcover: Hardcover.app integration for Kobo eReaders · GitHub
- Sunday: going to check out a couple of used book stores. Got to milk every last ounce of relaxation before going back to work.
- Second book store was underwhelming. Disorganized and hard to find sections.
- Bought Fail Better: Why Baseball Matters
- Doing laundry mid-week makes Sunday laundry a lot easier
- First bike ride of the season: 10.13km, 31:44
