Week notes 2026-18
This week started with ordering a new sling / camera bag, expecting it to arrive Tuesday morning before work...except that the delivery person confused my house numbers (despite the wrong house number appearing in the photo proof of delivery...). I got the bag at the end of the day, and was immediately satisfied with it (I wrote about it).
It wasn't a goal for this week per se, but I kept up with my food logging every day. Even while we were away from home Thursday night through late Sunday afternoon! Again, complete estimations in some areas, but it was important for me to keep up with it, and I did.
Overall it was a good week. We capped it off by buying some tickets to see the Ottawa Charge vs. Boston Fleet Game 4 of playoff action! And we'll probably go to see the Titans (baseball) the night before that. Sports-filled weekend coming up. And I think we're going to try to see The Devil Wears Prada 2.
2026 projects and goals
Last week's goals
- Writing: game review (Yoshi's Island) ✅ I did it! I was waiting for some things to come in at work so throughout the day I went back and forth to a markdown file and got it done.
- Photography: pick up a new roll of film. Take more photos. ✅ Well, sort of check mark. I took new photos, but I didn't pick up a new roll of film. I've still got a handful of shots left on the current roll so I'll finish that before picking up some more.
- Writing: Albums I listened to in Q1 2026 ❌ Nope, I didn't do it. Writing one to-do item was a good outcome for the week, though.
This week's goals
I'm going to be a little less ambitious this week because I expect a busy week at work, and we've got softball starting Wednesday night, AND we have a busy weekend...that's a lot to pack in. So light on the goals.
- Try to keep healthy sleep habits
- Get some extra steps in, but take it easy, too
- Reading: keep reading The Buffalo Hunter Hunter
