An Almost Anonymous Blog

Unread

On the weekend I was looking at my phone's browser and marveled at all the open tabs I had running. Most of these came from some rabbit holes thanks to my RSS feed linking to some interesting posts, which led me to reading the author's blog posts; the rest came from Robert's #Junited 2025 campaign from various people:

On top of this long list of open tabs and unread RSS entries, I also have The Hiro Report to sitting in my email inbox.

This has left me feeling a little overwhelmed with things to catch up on. Compounding this is how Miniflux is showing an approximation of how many minutes it'll take to read a post. At the moment if it's anything longer than a minute I'm skipping it and leaving it aside temporarily. So right now my RSS feeds sit at 27 unread posts1.

And now I'm back at work after a day off where things got a little busy (an understatement) so I'm going to leave these posts even longer. At some point I'm going to have to ditch the open tabs on my phone and cull some RSS posts based on title alone (or maybe skim the first few paragraphs and see if it's for me).

What about anyone else...got a seemingly unwieldy list of things to read that you feel compelled to catch up on?

  1. I am aware that people have lists much longer than this, and I don't know how they go through life.
