Saturday Thoughts

I can't believe how busy it is going to the shipping malls in December. We travelled from one busy parking garage to another half way across the city from each other, and both were full of people trying to get where they're trying to go before anyone else, because they're number one.

We did our best to remain calm, and go with the flow. We weren't in a hurry and ate lunch before we got to our first stop, so we had nothing but time.

Our second stop was also not bad - possibly helped by the parking garage being a lot bigger than the previous one with multiple entrances and exits. If you know what you're doing, it's easy to get in and out and find a parking spot very easily.

But the people. Wow. So. Many. People. We completed our mission but had to step aside to take a breath before going back home. I guess there must have been a sale going on? It's not a store we normally shop at, we were going for gifts; but for all I know it was a regular Saturday.

I did more work on my project this morning. It's getting closer to completion. I still have some more things to work out with it, but I did some fun stuff like adding little technical pieces to make it easier to "just write". Almost makes me want to move my blog when I get it up and running...almost. I'm happy to leave it as a landing page for now. I'll take screenshots later when I make some more updates and write my next post.

I'm trying to get through a library book that for all intents and purposes is quite short, but the material is very dense. I haven't picked it up very often. It's a subject I'm interested in but it's veering into territory which usually mean "just stop reading it". Will give it a go after I post this.
