It's a numbers game

A few weeks ago I started an extended break from calorie logging. I burned out on the process, and realized I was only keeping track out of habit. I wasn't doing anything with the numbers. Since my mental load was occupied with other things, taking one thing off my mind was a good idea.

Having said that, I want to get back into it (and as of typing this, I have logged everything so far today). I have a weight goal: 245 pounds. That's a "stretch" goal: I'm not going to stop there, but right now that's a number that's eluded me for a very long time. It's a benchmark, and I'm only 3 pounds away (248.9—so let's say 4 pounds, then).

I subscribed to Cronometer's premium tier, but after the first few weeks I lost sight of my goals and the numbers lost meaning. Apparently the premium subscription includes access to "Crono Coach"; it looks like an AI tool that analyzes your data and makes suggestions based on set goals and targets.

I'm going to try this out for a bit. I need something or someone else to look at my data and help me adjust properly. I know the basics but I need coaching.

We'll see how this works.

Let's see. Today is Monday, and I'm at 249. My weight loss goal is 0.5 lbs per week; I think I'm going to increase that to 1 lb per week. Here's hoping I can get to 248 next Monday morning!
