Importance of Breaks
The last two days (including today!) I have had to make sure to take a break. There have been a few things popping up at work that exploded into a huge feeling of stress.
So I walked away from the computer and took a break. Yesterday it was to make a tea; today it was to fill my cup with water and play Wordle and Connections.
I don't recall feeling stress so acutely before - maybe it's because we think stress is one of my triggers for seizures for me. It could be my medication as well. In any event, it's a thing I notice, and it helps me to step away and disappear from my team for just a few minutes.
Re-reading that you might think I'm being a bit callous in saying I need to get away from my team, but again, if I feel like I'm getting pulled in every direction and stepping away means I don't explode, I'll step away.
