Epilepsy Essay Update
Progress on my epilepsy essay collection is going well. I'm currently in week 3 and I've knocked off each goal successfully. Granted they were pretty lightweight but for a hefty project, it's good to start small. But while I was reviewing my progress to date, I thought I'd have a look at my 12 week goal and see if my goals were realistic for each week.
Unfortunately they weren't exactly. I originally had the writing process cramped into three weeks; I didn't think that was enough. Luckily I sort of built some flexibility into the plan, so I made some changes:
The writing stage is still a little cramped, but I now built in a flex week in the last week. I also feel my goals are more realistic now. They are slightly less ambitious, but I think that they're more attainable. Plus, I can start a new 12-week plan that's more based on finishing touches for the book. This plan is more about getting the thing written in the first place.
I also wrote out tasks for Week 4's overall task (beginning the writing process):
- Align topics with previously-written material (this is a bit of a repeat from the initial weeks, but I feel it's important to know what I need to do)
- Determine number of essays to write
- Write first topic. At least 1 per day.
